Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy treatment and interventions focus on developing skills required to achieve age appropriate gross motor skills, safe and independent age appropriate mobility and restoring pain-free function after injury.

Our pediatric Physical Therapists have specialized training in:

  • Kinesio Taping for Pediatrics
  • Assessment and Treatment of Torticollis and Plagiocephaly
  • Birth to 3 Early Intervention Treatment
  • Treatment of Hypermobility / Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
  • Treatment of Toe-Walking / Equinovarus
  • Management of Hyper/Hypotonia
  • Other Neurological Conditions
  • Equipment and Bracing

PTs will assist in coordinating recommendations, trials and referrals for all equipment and bracing as needed, such as:

  • Standers, wheelchairs, gait trainers, bath equipment and seating systems
  • AFOs, SMOs, cranial re-molding helmet, TLSO and other postural alignment correction devices

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy treatment and interventions facilitate a child’s independence and participation in daily functional tasks/activities.

  • OT can address the following areas:
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) / Self Care Skills
  • Fine Motor Skills, Strength and Dexterity
  • Self-Regulation, Attention, and Sensory Processing
  • Functional Play Skills
  • Upper extremity functional use, range of motion and strength.

Our Occupational Therapy team is experienced in the following interventions and strategies:

Feeding Therapy

We have New Hampshire’s only Pediatric Feeding Team comprised of Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.

Our team has an exceptional success rate with progressing the diets and food management skills of children with medically complex and sensory-based feeding and swallowing disorders.

Our Feeding Specialists provide:

  • Treatment of Dysphagia/ Progression of Dysphagia Diets
  • Infant Feeding and Swallowing Therapy
  • Sensory-Based Feeding Therapy / Treatment of “Picky Eaters”
  • Breastfeeding Consultation for Children with a History of Torticollis

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Evaluations

ImPACT Concussion Program

We provide ImPACT Concussion Baseline testing that allows for optimal assessment of injury following a concussion or head injury.

Baseline testing is recommended yearly for children over 5 years old who participate in sports or activities that pose risk of head injury or concussion.

Our ImPACT certified Physical Therapists are trained in post-concussion assessment, initial recovery after injury, and return to sport protocols and progressions to allow your child to safely return to sports and activities.

Sensory Integration

Why SI? Sensory Integration Therapy aims to help children with sensory processing concerns. It works to introduce sensory stimuli in a structured and repetitive way which teaches the brain how to process input more efficiently.

Sensory Integration can help children with:

Aquatic Therapy

Our aquatic therapy program provides individualized, one-on-one PT in the pool that is tailored for each patient’s needs. Aquatic therapy is ideal for patients working on:
